Winter has the tendency to be extremely harsh and drying&nbsp;to the hair as well as the&nbsp;skin. Luckily there are some surefire ways to keep your hair gorgeous, moisturized and manageable, even in the coldest winter weather. Here are some tips for hair care during winter:<\/div>\n<div>Get regular treatments<\/div>\n<div>By giving yourself protein treatments or utilizing a hair mask, you increase the chances that you will&nbsp;enjoy more manageable and less dry hair. You can either perform the treatments at home, or you can choose to go to a salon. You will notice a major difference in the condition of your hair, even after the first treatment.<\/div>\n<div>Pre-shampoo oil therapy<\/div>\n<div>Your hair will retain more moisture if you take the time to perform oil therapy prior to each shampoo. You can choose any oil, such as olive, coconut or another choice, and saturate your hair with it. You might even opt to wear a plastic cap and sit under a hair dryer for a few minutes. This allows the oil to permeate the hair shaft, warding off dryness. After 5 or 10 minutes, you can rinse out the oil and then shampoo and condition as usual. You might even opt to use a special moisture retention shampoo and condition, to improve results.<\/div>\n<div>8 glasses of h20 a day<\/div>\n<div>Many people underestimate the importance of drinking an adequate amount of water, but drinking a minimum of 8 glasses a day is important for a number of reasons. Not only does consuming sufficient water keep your entire body hydrated, but it keeps your hair hydrated, as well. You would be surprised at how more moisturized your hair would be if you take the time to drink large quantities of water.<\/div>\n<div>Just because cold weather is harsh and drying to the hair and skin doesn&rsquo;t mean that you must settle for brittle locks this winter.
